Harpoon Brewery Hosts First-Ever Music Festival at The Lawn on D, “Boston Chilling”
Answers Boston’s “calling” with a low-key outdoor concert experience to bring the community together
BOSTON, MA — [May 21, 2026] The biggest outdoor music festival in Boston is taking a break this summer. So to help fill that gap and celebrate the launch of its new craft lager, Low Key – a beer built to chill at 3.3% ABV, Harpoon Brewery is bringing the city the ultimate low-key experience.
Introducing Boston Chilling: a one-day outdoor concert experience presented by Harpoon, designed for anyone who enjoys easygoing vibes, live music, and a cold beverage. The festival takes place on Saturday, June 6 from 1 PM to sundown at the Lawn on D, with musical performances kicking off at 3 PM. Even better, it’s free to attend.
Because this summer, Boston has a lot going on, and everyone needs an opportunity to chill.
The festival will be emceed by local personality Matt Shearer and feature a lineup of artists known for their feel-good, laid-back sound, including:
- LAUNDRY DAY (Instagram, Spotify)
- Lily Fitts (Instagram, Spotify)
- Toledo (Instagram, Spotify)
- Lightfootbeats (Instagram, Spotify)
Boston Chilling is a deliberate shift away from the big festival vibe. Alternatively, Harpoon is creating space for people to slow down and enjoy a summer day in their own way, whether that means catching a set, playing lawn games, or just hanging with a drink in hand – ideally, Low Key lager – a light, easy-drinking craft beer with subtle tropical fruit notes that perfectly match the spirit of the festival: less hype, more hang.
Attendees can also enjoy other fan-favorite craft brews like Harpoon IPA and limited draft Southie Lager and food and beverages from the Lawn on D’s concessions program, operated by Rebel Restaurants, featuring grill favorites, wraps, deli sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
“There are few things Harpoon loves more than being part of a low-key weekend hang,” said Jordan Kellem, Brand Manager of Harpoon Brewery. “With the local outdoor music scene missing one of its flagship events this year, we wanted to help fill that gap in our own way. Boston Chilling is about dialing it back and focusing on what really matters: great music, great beer, and time well spent with friends.”
Additional Details:
- No pets allowed
- No outside food or alcohol permitted during concession hours
- While all ages are welcome, you must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol
Whether you’re heading over after Boston Pride festivities or just looking for an easygoing way to spend a Saturday, Boston Chilling keeps things intentionally casual: come by, hang for a bit, or don’t. No big push. No hard sell. Just… chill.
